The ability to send files digitally from a software program is more a function of your operating system than the software. As with most software, when you select the print command you are in effect leaving the program. This is where your ability to create PDFs comes into play.
MAC USERS:
The ability to make PDFs is built into the operating system of
OSX. When you select "Continue" from the fotoBiz or fotoQuote
preview screen, a Page Setup dialog box appears. Click OK, and the Page
Setup dialog box will be followed by the actual Print dialog box, (unless
you have created some custom printer setup).
On the lower left of the Print dialog box is a PDF button. Click on this button and a drop down menu appears. There are a few choices on how to send your PDF in this drop down menu. Click on Save as PDF and select where you want your PDF saved. Save it to your desktop and from there drag it to the body of the email you wish to send. Or select Mail PDF and the PDF is saved automatically to your email program. You can even Fax your PDF.
Combining Multi-Page PDFs for Mac:
We have written a Mac OSX Automator workflow to combine single page PDFs
into a multi-page document. This will allow you to combine, in one PDF,
your Estimate and Terms & Conditions. The application download is
free and is offered without warranty of any kind and you may modify it
to suit your own needs.
You can begin the download from the link below or access it at any time from the Manuals page in the Support section of our website:

WINDOWS USERS:
You may need to use a utility that creates PDFs to take full advantage
of the digital submission features built into fotoBiz. There are free or
low cost utilities available on the web if your version of Windows doesn't
include a PDF builder. Microsoft also has a download available for eight
of the 2007 Microsoft Office programs running on Windows Server 2003 or Windows
XP Service Pack 2. If you have Adobe Acrobat Pro installed on your system this should enable you to print to PDF.
One of our customers had the following suggestion:
"I found a website where I downloaded a program for free that lets me create PDFs in Windows: http://www.pdf995.com. I'm able to use the fotoQuote Print Quote function to print a PDF using this software."
We have also found a low cost PDF writer for Windows called deskPDF available from www.docudesk.com.
