Creating Electronic Invoices with Images in fotoBiz 2.0

We've had so many individual requests about how to include images with an electronic invoice submission that we would like to share the process in fotoBiz 2.0 with you.

You'll need to create two separate PDF forms and then combine them.

Here's how:

  1. Create your quote or invoice first and then create a PDF of it. Save it to your desktop so you can easily locate it.
  2. Then create a thumbnail submission from the imageLog module of fotoBiz 2.0. You can find information on creating thumbnail submission forms in the Reference Manual on pages 86-88.
  3. Save this as a PDF just like you did with your quote or invoice.

NOTE: You'll need to import your images into the imageLog in order to create thumbnails and if you want to do this with a set of images from an Assignment, you can still create a thumbnail contact sheet without fully importing the images. Information on importing your digital image info can be found in the Reference Manual beginning on page 75.
  4. Now that you have your two PDFs you need to combine them. In one of Cradoc's previous tips entitled "Creating Multi-Page PDFs" you learned how to do this.

Once the PDFs are combined you send them out as you normally would. That's it; its quick and easy. In just a few steps you'll be able to create an invoice complete with image thumbnails and your clients will love it too!
